The Latest!

Hello, Gorgeous!  I hope you had a great weekend, and a not-so-hellacious Monday.  I’ve been testing, testing, testing away, and I have so many new brands and products to introduce you to this Spring.  Exciting!  It’s amazing how far Green Beauty has come in the last five years; every time I think there is a specific void in the market, poof!  Some talented go-getter fills it with an amazing product.

I recently tried some Nu Evolution cosmetics from Safe & Chic, and I’m really impressed!  So far, my favorite is their powder blush in Flushed.  It is a DEAD RINGER for Nars powder blush in Orgasm – and – it goes light and subtle, but the color is very easily build-able.  I’ve been searching for a perfect match powder formula for years, so you can imagine my excitement.  I know a lot of you are loyal to that shade, too – I couldn’t wait to share the news!  Also, for a limited time, enter code BAREBEAUTY for 10% OFF your entire order at Safe & Chic.  And, orders $50+ qualify for free U.S. shipping and a gift with purchase.  Yay!

Shopbop is having their Spring Sale –  just in time for me to grab a few things for the warmer weather that’s around the corner.  I worked in the fashion industry for years, and I used to be a certified shopaholic, but I have really reigned myself in since I read Wear No Evil.  I still love fashion, but I only buy classic pieces that I really love, and that will last for a long, long time.  I also try to buy things that are made from natural fibers in the USA, and from companies that are conscious of waste, toxic runoff, humane working conditions, etc.  Conscious Living: it’s a thing, y’all!  Here’s what’s in my shopping cart:

100% cotton voile dress made in India, Figue.

100% silk dress made by Kenyan artisans, LemLem.

Stretch silk crepe dress made in partnership with ethically responsible workshops in Kenya & India, Suno.

And, I finally invested in some Glamboxes, a must-have for every beauty junkie who is always late (the two go hand-in-hand, no?)  This is the kind of thing I hate paying full-price for – the perfect sale score!

Last, but definitely not least, I was beyond flattered to be asked by Vogue to name my favorite wellness destinations in Charleston for a travel piece they recently published.  You can read it here.  (Photo: Bette Walker)

Whew!  That’s all for today!
