A Mask Wardrobe by Leahlani + Giveaway

Why you need a mask "wardrobe" on barebeauty.com

A mask wardrobe? you say.  I know it might sound extravagant, but different masks do different things, and everyone should have at least 3 in their skincare arsenal.  Integrity Botanicals just added Leahlani Skincare to their already stellar skincare brand assortment, and it made me so excited!  Not many retailers carry this dreamy-luxe line.  Leahlani’s branding and packaging are the prettiest in the biz, and the idea of Hawaii is so alluring; it would be easy for a old skincare buff to write this line off as a fluffy, millennial brand.  That would be their loss, because these formulas work.  Not only do they live up to their claims, but they are formulated to uplift the spirit, which they do equally well.  Leahlani is made on the lush north shore of Kauai by Leah Klasovsky, a holistic esthetician and botanical alchemist who set out to heal her own skin over ten years ago.  Inspired and passionate, Leah wanted to take skincare from “routine” to “ritual”, and she’s done just that.  Before trying this line, I remember hearing people say, Leah just puts so much love into these products, and once you try them, you really do feel it.  Her formulas a decadent, almost edible, and so, so effective.  It honestly feels like the product is giving you a hug when you use it.  (Scroll down to find out how to WIN your own Leahlani mask wardrobe.)

Leahlani’s cult favorite is The Mermaid Mask.  There are a lot of masks that you need to use at least twice a week for an extended period of time in order to see results – this is not one of those masks.  This emerald green formula is like a nourishing smoothie for your skin.  The beautiful green color comes from Spirulina and Chlorella, both of which are harvested in Hawaii.  These superfoods are mixed with raw Hawaiian honey and circulation-boosting essential oils to leave skin renewed, supple and glowing.  I mix this mask with a few drops of water in my palm and apply it to my face with the Leahlani Mask Brush until it is evenly distributed, and I let it sit for 10 minutes.  When I rinse this mask off, my skin is rosy, bright, plump and soft.  This is a great mask for before date night or whenever skin needs a boost, and it benefits all skin types.

The Honey Love is a 3-in-1 cleanser, mask and exfoliator, and I absolutely love it.  This treatment is a triple threat; it is great for reducing breakouts, evening out skin tone, and helping skin to retain moisture.  The Honey Love is a potent blend of superfood maqui berry, tonifying hibiscus, anti-inflammatory noni fruit, stimulating clays, sweet Hawaiian nectars and microdermabrasion crystals.  When my acne was at its worst, I often used raw honey (The Honey Love’s main ingredient) to calm my inflammation and fight the “bad” bacteria; it worked really well.  It’s important to stir it up well to activate the crystals at the bottom of the jar.  I love that you don’t need to cleanse prior to or after using this mask (unless you’re wearing makeup).  I apply it liberally, wait 10 minutes, and then I rub my fingers on my face, gently, using circular motions to exfoliate my skin before rinsing it off.  My skin is left moisturized, glowy and calm.  This mask works wonders for any skin type, especially those that are dull and acne-prone.

The Kokoleka Ritual Dessert Mask is a detoxifying mask that also replenishes the skin (so many clay and activated charcoal masks strip the skin, and it drives me crazy).  This mask is a little more complex and advanced than the others when it comes to ingredients.  Molokai black sea salt with activated coconut charcoal, which will help to draw out impurities and detoxify the skin while replenishing it with the remineralization properties from Bohemian black fango clay. Black Fango is full of minerals and humic and fulvic acids, which act as a ‘skin food’. Fulvic acid helps to rejuvenate the body’s cellular tissue, slowing down the aging process. Fulvic acid also helps water to enter the cells at a fast rate, which will balance hydration and mineral levels and increase enzyme activity.  Organic cacao and acai fruit are power packed with antioxidants, which work together to fortify the skin against free radical damage while helping to repair and rebuild your skin cells at the same time. Kokoleka aids in stimulating and enhancing circulation without over drying the skin.  I mix this mask with a few drops of water and apply it wit the Leahlani Mask Brush until it is evenly distributed, and I let it sit for 10 minutes.  This mask smells and looks like dessert; you’ll smell delicate chocolate and orange notes, and it tingles slightly, which I love.  My skin is left rosy and vibrant, and with regular use this mask reduces breakouts.

There are lots of other amazing products to discover from Leahlani as well.  I love The Bless Beauty Balm; I use this a lot after I get micro needling facials (I’m trying to erase the scars that acne left behind a few years ago).  It is so gentle, (it contains one of my favorite calming ingredients, Blue Tansy) and balms do so much more than oils or creams when it comes to babying a sensitive, delicate complexion.  The Citrus and Citrine Regenerating Toning Mist is fabulously revitalizing.  I find myself going to my bathroom to spray this on my face midday to give myself a boost.   I love that it contains an actual citrine stone, which emits a strong vibration of joy, prosperity, energy, and abundance while it clears negative energy.  I think we could all use that!

Integrity Botanicals and are I teaming up to give 1 lucky reader a Leahlani mask wardrobe of their own!  Tune into my Instagram handle, @barebeautyblog on Friday, March 9th at 9pm, EST to enter!
