Indie Beauty Expo Recap

I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday!  I’ve been playing a serious game of catch-up since returning from Indie Beauty Expo in LA last week.  It was a whirlwind trip, (a.k.a. I got NO sleep) but it was so worth it.  The highlight for me was speaking on a panel with other Green Beauty bloggers, which was moderated by the founder of Beauty Heroes, Jeannie Jarnot (who is an inspiration).  To get a feel for what we discussed, see my panel-prep-post here.  We were all a little nervous, but we garnered a great audience, and it turned out to be really fun; I honestly felt like we were gabbing about Green Indie Beauty over drinks (minus the tipsy-ness).  While we chat on Instagram and occasionally exchange an email, it was great to finally meet the other panelists in person.  They were all absolutely lovely, and I felt lucky to be in such great company:

I caught up with some of my favorite Green people and brands, and came back with some new finds as well!

I also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Jillian Wright, cofounder of Indie Beauty Expo and founder of Jillian Wright Skincare.  She was lovely, and I’ll be interviewing her before the next Indie Beauty Expo, which will take place in New York this August.

Oh, and food!  I loved everything I ate from Cafe Gratitude and Earth Bar.

I wish I could have spent more time with my friends Harriet and Marysia (and these palm trees), but I wanted to get back home to my baby and my hubby.  Until next time, Los Angeles.
