Good For You Friday: Spicy Green Banana Smoothie


Happy Friday, Bare Beauties!  This recipe makes an energizing and satisfying breakfast smoothie.  When you taste it, you will not believe it is good for you and I promise you’ll be full until lunchtime.  And for all you green smoothie novices, I swear you cannot taste the spinach.  This drink tastes like a spicy chocolate banana dream.  Ignore the color!

  • 8-12 oz unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 1 scoop plant-based protein powder.  This one is my favorite.
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 big handful baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs or powder
  • cinnamon to taste
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • raw honey or stevia, if desired, to taste

Blend all ingredients in a heavy-duty blender or Vitamix until smooth.  Enjoy!
