Hi There!  Summer is in full swing here in Charleston.  I cannot concentrate in this 95-degree heat – how did the southern belles of yore do this in hoop skirts?  Like, what if I had to blog in a hoop skirt and corset and no air-conditioning.  Oooch.  They didn’t even have margaritas back then….

Sooooo, here is what I am loving in this heat:

Do you love OPI Cajun Shrimp, but wish it was 5-free?  Look no further for the perfect Clean summer coral: Priti NYC: A Time’s Rose.  It dries fast, lasts forever and the color is vivid.  I usually do not wear bright colors on my nails (I’m a true classicist: nude, red or vamp, always), but every summer, I have to do coral at least once.  You never know if you are going to live long enough to be a golden girl in Florida with coral nails and lips and ODLR caftans, so just do it now.  Y.O.L.O., right?  Cost: about $15 for 8 mL.  Purchase it here.

Ilia Beauty’s Voila is also a pretty, Clean coral, but for lips.  It is the perfect pop of color and it doesn’t make your teeth look yellow like so many coral lipsticks do.  I am wearing it non-stop this summer.  Cost: about $25.  Purchase it here.

I usually don’t blog about fashion, but I am living in this One by Pink Stitch dress – I bought it in coral and black.  I feel like I am cheating the heat; it feels like I am wearing a light-as-air bed sheet around town.  I try to not buy “disposable” fashion, but the price is right, it’s flattering, I can wear it with a strapless bra and I know that once I am over it, I can wear it as a cover-up.  No-brainer.  Cost: about $85.  Purchase it here.

Six months is the best age!  I never dreamed being at home with a baby would be so fun (even though it is really hard and I feel like I’m losing my mind a little and I wish I could spend more time working on BB).  Full disclosure: I went back to the store and bought this watermelon bubble in the next size up because I didn’t want to part with it.  I know what you are thinking: “she is losing her mind”.  Whatever, you would do it, too.  (I don’t have a link, but it’s by Little English.)
