It seems that every year around this time, I finally admit to myself that my face could use a boost, and I abandon my usual neutral makeup palette of brown and bronze for something cooler.  But, this year, I discovered something new and really special: The Artist Eye Palette from Vapour Organic Beauty in Midnight.  Just, wow.

This palette comes in a pretty, slim compact with a mirror and contains the most beautiful navy, cobalt and deep violet eye shadows.  The colors are rich – they create beautiful depth and dimension – and they also blend and work so well all together.  The formula is a silky cream, just like Vapour’s Mesmerize Eye Colors, and it is a breeze to apply.  I use my fingers to apply violet all over the lid, and cobalt in the crease.  Then, using a small, angled brush, I line the upper and lower lash line with the navy.  This creates a foolproof, smudgy, smokey eye.  I wore these colors together the other day, and I swear I got more compliments on my makeup in 8 hours than I do all year!
